December: Discipline, Direction, and Depth
Hello, December!
We are officially in the final stretch of the year.
November felt like a true reset for me. After several busy weeks, I realized I needed more room to breathe and think clearly. So I deleted Instagram. No announcement. No explanation. Just a quiet decision to protect my peace.
Once I stepped away, I felt lighter almost instantly. Without checking an app out of habit or keeping up with what everyone else was doing, I had more space to be present in my own life. I felt calmer. I felt more centered. And I remembered what it feels like when my mind is not constantly in motion.
That break gave me the clarity I did not even know I needed. I started thinking about the woman I am becoming, the kind of work I want to do, and the life I want to create moving forward. When things get quiet, your thoughts become a lot more honest.
Now let’s get into November wins…drum roll please…..
A big win this month was securing the venue for my first in person media networking event for 2026. I hosted two in person events this year for women in media, film, and journalism, and I’m excited to keep growing this series.
Creating space for women to connect and be poured into is something I genuinely care about, and I am grateful to continue that work.
Overall, November brought me back to myself. It reminded me to slow down, to listen, and to be intentional about where I am headed next.
Here is how I am approaching December.
December Personal Goals
📌 Make financial decisions that support the future I am building
I want to stay focused on long term goals and be consistent with how I manage my money.
📌 Give myself slower, more intentional mornings
A peaceful start sets the tone for my entire day, and I want to protect that space.
📌Less scrolling, more work IRL!
Stepping away from Instagram gave me a reset I did not know I needed. I want to continue taking digital breaks so I can spend less time scrolling and more time focused on my goals.
📖 Faith to Fuel the Journey
Isaiah 30: 21 - “Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you saying this is the way. Walk in it.”
This reassured me that God will always guide me when I make room to listen.
Proverbs 16:3 - “Commit to the Lord whatever you do and He will establish your plans.”
This helped me as I prepared for a new year and trusted God with the details.
Psalm 46:10 - “Be still and know that I am God.”
This became the foundation of my digital break and the peace that followed.

Beautiful how stepping back from Instagram opened up that mental space. That detail about commiting to slower mornings is underrated, i've found the same thing when my day doesn't start with screen time. Financial intentionalty paired with inner clarity is kinda the ultimate combo for building anything real.
